Refund Policy

1. Subscriptions and billing

Paid subscriptions to RunMyBuild.ai are billed in advance on a recurring basis — monthly or annually, as you select at checkout — through our payment processor, Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. Some features are billed on a usage basis (for example, certain AI or API usage) in addition to your subscription.

Prices for each tier are shown on our pricing page and are exclusive of GST, VAT or other applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

2. Cancelling your subscription

You can cancel at any time from your account billing settings, or by emailing support@runmybuild.ai. When you cancel, your subscription remains active until the end of the current paid period, and you will not be charged again after that. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not, by itself, trigger a refund for the current period, except where a refund is required by law (see section 5) or where we agree otherwise.

After your subscription ends, your plan reverts to the free tier (where available) or your access to paid features ends. You are responsible for exporting any data you wish to keep before that time.

3. Refund eligibility

We want you to be satisfied. If something is not right, contact us at support@runmybuild.ai and we will work with you in good faith. We may, at our discretion, provide a refund or credit — for example, where you were charged in error, where a paid feature did not work as described and we could not fix it within a reasonable time, or where a renewal was charged very recently and the plan has not been substantially used.

These discretionary refunds are in addition to — and do not limit — the non-excludable consumer-guarantee rights described in section 5.

4. Non-refundable items

Except where the law requires otherwise (including under the consumer guarantees in section 5), the following are generally not refundable:

• usage-based charges for AI credits, API calls or similar consumption that has already been delivered;
• amounts for transactions or third-party services that have already been processed or incurred; and
• subscription fees for a billing period that has already been substantially or fully used.

5. Your consumer-guarantee rights (which we cannot exclude)

Nothing in this Policy excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under law that cannot lawfully be excluded. In particular:

• Australia — under the Australian Consumer Law, our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded. If there is a major failure with the service you are entitled to cancel and obtain a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for a drop in value; and for other failures you are entitled to have the problem fixed within a reasonable time, or to a refund if it cannot be.
• New Zealand — the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 provides similar non-excludable guarantees for services supplied to consumers.
• United Kingdom — the Consumer Rights Act 2015 requires services to be provided with reasonable care and skill and gives you rights to a repeat performance or a price reduction where they are not.
• Singapore — the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act provides remedies where services are not of the standard promised.
• India — the Consumer Protection Act 2019 provides remedies for deficient services; you may also raise a grievance with our Grievance Officer at grievance@runmybuild.ai.

6. Pro-rata and plan changes

If you upgrade mid-cycle, we may charge the prorated difference for the remainder of the period. If you downgrade, the change usually takes effect at your next renewal, and we do not provide pro-rata refunds for the current period unless required by law. Where a refund is due, it is generally calculated on the unused portion of the period.

7. Chargebacks and payment disputes

If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us first at support@runmybuild.ai so we can resolve it quickly — this is usually faster than a bank dispute. Initiating a chargeback without contacting us may result in your account being suspended pending resolution. We reserve the right to dispute chargebacks we believe are made in error and to recover amounts owed.

9. Processing time

Approved refunds are processed to your original payment method through Stripe, usually within 5 to 10 business days, though the time for the funds to appear depends on your bank or card issuer.
